Chicken soup, my way:
I make the stock with an Asian influenced mirepoix and finish it with shiitake mushrooms, kale, and some fish oil. Around here, a pot of this disappears in about two days. This stuff kills colds like nobody's business.
I'm a big fan of stews and soups. I think it's because when I was in school, my empty stomach was accompanied by an empty wallet and making big pots of stew was cheap, easy, and would feed me for days. Good times.
